Ta Da!

I'm not satisfied - not in the least. I can't believe how poorly it fits, and how bunchy the shoulders are. I suppose it will be a GREAT sweater for layering, or for those cold cold evenings, but it isn't the sort of sweater that I want to wear out and shout to the world: 'Look what I made!'

I think I've learned some valuable lessons for next time:

  1. Measure! Measure! Measure!
  2. When you ask your hubby "Am I bigger than this model?" and he says that you're smaller, attempt to believe him. He told me to make it in small. I chose not to listen.
  3. Do not assume you can wing it. Read through the pattern and if there is just too much that makes no sense, skip it. Find something new.
  4. Try, try again.
It's just such a big time investment (nearly two months) to make something that is just okay. Something that is meh.

Luckily I'm on to something relatively small (size 6) so it shouldn't take nearly as long or as much energy. No cables. Straight stocking stitch.

I can handle that!

If it means anything to you, I think it looks great. . . I could never do that! It looks amazing!
