Isaac

Today, my baby turns two.
At 5:17 p.m. (EST), he will be two years old.
On Monday, May 8, 2006, my Isaac David made his entry into our world, forever changing our lives.
He was 9 lbs 4 oz and 23.25 ins

I was induced at 38 weeks.
Here I, the morning of the big day.
I much have the look of a woman who knows what she's in for!

And then he was born.
All nine pound gorgeous-ness.

And when he looked at us, we felt nothing but love.
Another child.
Another boy.
But our first (and only) Isaac.

He was a cuddler.

He was a lap baby.

He was my 'velcro' child.

"Do you never put that child down?"

Not if I don't have to.

The kids loved him.
From the start, they adored him.
No jealousy. No behaviours.
It just was.
I kept telling people, "One day the novelty will wear off!"

We're still waiting.
He's two today.
He's bratty.
He's testy.
He's a snuggler.
A crab.
He's a giggler.
A joker.
A pest.
He talks and walks and gets into things.
And we love him.
We love him for who he was, who he is, and who he will become.

The kids hug him.
Poke him.
Kiss him.
They admire him.
Play with him.
Talk to him.
Teach him.

They love him.

Our wonderful two year old!

And as I type this, he sits on my lap screaming his head off because his nap was too short.
So I'm off to snuggle and love, and dote some more.
